September 2016 Issue Now Online

August 2016 -

There's so much to see and do in Claremont. Historic Route 66 (which is now known as Foothill Blvd.) is a main east-west thoroughfare and a very interesting drive. It's home to numerous shop, dine, entertainment sites and so much more... and is Celebrating its 85th Anniversary in 2016!

The Claremont Colleges, Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, Candlelight Pavilion Dinner Theatre and The Old School House are just a few of the interesting places found along this historic highway..

Wolfe's Market opened in 1917 as is now owned/operated by the 4th generation of Wolfe family members. Click here to read the June 2015 issue of THE VIL CLARE free online magazine for more about Wolfe's Market and its "Memories of Claremont" mural by Jeff Faust.

This 2 mile stretch of Route 66 opened in 1931. Click here to read more about its history "The Roadside Allure of Route 66" and click here to take a tour. Both resources are provided by Claremont Heritage.

I look forward to updating the site and providing more interesting facts and photos in the near future. Thanks for visiting -- enjoy the drive on Route 66 in Claremont!

Oh, and please click here to view The Claremont Village website. The historic/contemporary Village is located about 3/4 of a mile south of Route 66 (Foothill Blvd.) adjacent to Indian Hill Blvd.

It's Another Wonderful Day in Claremont...
